Material Selection
High Carbon Steel offers a combination of excellent fatigue resistance coupled with good abrasion resistance. For most aggregate producers these two factors are the most important in determining metal type.
Oil Tempered
Oil Tempered has more carbon and manganese than High Carbon Steel providing superior abrasion resistance and good fatigue resistance. This is critical when abrasion is the primary factor.
Stainless Steel
Stainless Steel is an extremely hard, abrasion and corrosion resistant metal. This metal excels when used in applications where the material is extremely abrasive and chemically corrosive. The smooth surface of the metal prevents material from adhering to it, making it ideal inapplications where the material is damp and prone to blinding. |
